The reason we ask “Do you have Power of Attorney and the CORRECT Will in place”

Power of Attorney Financial: If you lose capacity, your single and joint accounts with the bank(s) are frozen/closed for all transactions other than for emergencies. How would you pay your bills and manage your affairs?

Power of Attorney Health: On your loss of capacity, loved ones will not be able to make decisions about which health care you receive, giving/refusing life sustaining treatment or which home you live in. Is this really what you would have wanted?

The Correct Will - To protect your assets and loved ones! Care costs: Currently in England individuals with savings and assets above £23,250 are not entitled to help with the cost of care from their local council. Imagine the council taking away your home and savings from your children after you'd slaved your entire life to save & pay off the mortgage. For couples simply changing the ownership of your property to tenants in common and setting up a Will Trust means you can protect your home/savings from the money grabbing local authority and make sure your children/future generations benefit. Can you see now, why we ask do you have the CORRECT Will in place?

Currently the ‘average’ cost of a Discretionary Trust Will in the UK ranges from £600 to £1,500 for a single Will and £850 to £2,500 for a pair of mirror Discretionary Wills. Lasting Power of Attorney ‘average’ cost excluding OPG fee for a single person is between £300 to £800 per document or both types £600-£1,000 with couples £900 to £1,800.
